Hello everyone! I hope you’ve all been keeping well. Excellent news for those of you keen to get your drivers licences, instructors are allowed to begin working again from the 4th July. If you’re an existing student you will have already heard from me and I’m delighted that everyone is keen to get going again. There will of course be some changes due to the need to prevent the spread of coronavirus and I will be emailing all pupils with a comprehensive document later this week which will outline the precautions which we will be taking.

If you’re reading this wondering why I’ve not rung you as you’re on my waiting list, please know that I intend to finish all phone calls before the end of the week. Due to the need to allow extra time between lessons for the cleaning of my car, I can not offer as many lessons as usual at present. My diary is already full, but with a number of pupils hoping to take tests as soon as the DVLA are taking booking again, I would hope to start offering spaces to more people over the coming weeks.

The DVLA have announced that they will begin to take bookings for theory tests from the 4th July and driving tests from the 22nd July so if you’ve been waiting to book your theory test you don’t have long to wait and I would recommend that you book as soon as you can as there is likely to be a lot of people trying to book, and therefore you might find that waiting times are longer than usual. If you are a person who previously had a driving test booked, you will be contacted by the DVLA to prioritise getting your driving test booked in again as soon as possible.
