As many of you will be aware, during your driving test the examiner will be recording your outcome digitally. At the end of the test the examiner will tell you if you have passed or failed and provide you with some verbal feedback. I will be there at the end of the test to hear this feedback so that I am able to discuss the outcome with you in an appropriate amount of detail afterwards. We will both be able to ask the examiner questions as well at this point. Afterwards you will receive an email with a detailed test report. It is really useful for everyone to read through this report and ensure that they have understood it as it will help you to take the necessary steps, whatever the outcome of your test, to improve your driving. This is beneficial for your safety and the safety of those around you whilst you are driving. If you have been unsuccessful this report can prove very useful to outline where you need to improve. On the other hand, if you have passed and have chosen to complete the Pass Plus afterwards we will also use this report to continue to improve your skills.
This week the DVSA has published additional information about this report to help you further understand your test result. Click HERE to find out more. If you have any further questions about the test report mention it in the comments below – remember that others may also benefit from hearing the answer – and I will make sure I give you a thorough response. Alternatively we can always discuss this further in our lessons.
